Welcome to Smokey Road Middle School!

It brings me great pleasure to return to Smokey Road Middle School  as your new principal.  I began my educational career at Smokey Road and had the privilege of serving our school community for 19 years as both a teacher and assistant principal. Returning to this special place feels like coming home. The same passion and commitment I had then for our students, teachers, and families still remains strong.

At Smokey Road Middle School, our vision is to sustain continuous growth while achieving academic gains that reflect the hard work and dedication of our students, faculty, and staff. We believe success is built through collective effort among our teachers, implementation of strong instructional practices, and the development of meaningful relationships with students, families, and community partners.

To achieve this goal, we will implement structures and supports that strengthen our instructional practices and promote high-quality and engaging learning experiences for all students. In addition, we will empower students to take ownership of their learning through meaningful participation in advisory groups. Through these efforts, we aim to foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and excellence where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
